So I haven't blogged in a while.
My number one excuse is the fact that I don't, I repeat, I DO NOT, have internet at home. With that said, I have to leave the house, take a train, and buy a food item in order to be able to connect. SO LEAVE ME ALONE!
Oh and Jake: I have made friends, thanks.
There are a few things I need to cover here.
One: I went to Iowa City for Christmas. Did I talk about that already? If not, here it is again. I got a bathroom rug as a gift, and other stuff. Some clothes, movies, books, an LED flashlight pen.. (my dad's a weirdo,) and other nice things. I also gained like five pounds, but we all do. The apartment is nice, thank you. I am still sleeping on the floor, but not for long. I am getting a mattress hopefully soon. Going to Macy's here in a second (there's a sale going on!)
Now on to New Year's. I had nothing to do that night. I had to work until 9:30, and none of my coworkers would buy me champagne. I asked everyone, even my manager! He said that if I made more money than him that day, he would buy me a bottle. Now, I didn't make more than him, but I came pretty close. After work I went home, and did nothing. Maybe I ate some food, but I don't remember. Then I just texted tons of people, asking if any of them were in the same boring situation as me. After talking to half of my contacts of RECENTLY MADE FRIENDS IN CHICAGO, (Jake,) I finally agreed to meet my friend James, who is a girl, and her boyfriend somewhere up north by the Western Blue Line stop. I dragged Michael (my roommate) along with me, and he was freaking out because we were going to see a girl named James. Seriously, his closed-mindness gets on my nerves sometimes, but not really. Anyway we were walking around and then we heard the fireworks firing and working I guess. It was the new year, and I was walking around trying to find this restaurant, Hot Chocolate (which is actually supposed to be pretty fancy.) And there was James and Colin (that's her boyfriend. He's nice.) So then Colin drove us to his and James' apartment. It was the coolest apartment ever! It was long, and the walls were weird colors. Lots of posters and books, and candles, and teapots, and hookahs, and more books, and more teapots, and artwork, and pet rats, and oh god so many books and teapots. (I seriously tried to count the teapots, but I lost count after 12.) We stayed there until 3 am, and we drank some thing, I don't know what it was. So me and Michael had to go back home, and there were so many obnoxious drunk people on the train. This one girl was even drinking out of a bottle of wine, the cork knocked in the bottle. It was a fun night. James is pretty cool, and Colin is really nice. He can talk, too. Like, he's a good speaker.
So those have been the highlights, really. School starts on Monday. I'm not buying any books, screw that. I'll borrow, or read online. I already spent like 20 dollars on books the other day anyway (Borders on Michigan avenue was closing. Got 30 books for .25 a piece. Good ones, too.)
Katherine and I are going to be roommates, and even if it sounds stupid and inconvenient, it should be fun. We will combine our movies to crush Jake's collection, which brings me to part two of this post. I am going to list all the movies I have.

Now on to the books… Ugh. I don't want to list them all, but there are lots of 'em.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys - Oh!
I forgot to talk about the cake that I baked for my manager.. My other manager. So I baked her a cake, and took it over to her house. She has two cats, and one of them is a cyclops! Then I hung out there for a bit, and then we started talking about movies, and then we ended up talking about screenplays, and it turns out that she had written one in college! She let me borrow the one and only copy. I read it, and it's not bad. I'mma help her revise it.
Okay, that's it for now. Bye y'all.
PS: I'm getting internet on the 14th. And AT&T better not be lying.
