So Sayeth the Law of Shadow

Yeah, I used lyrics as a title.  I'm bored.

Not much going on today.  I have to do laundry at some point.  I go to this really sketchy laundromat called Spin Cycle.  It's on Cermak, and in the neighborhood of my people.  It's open twenty four hours too, and washes are 50% off between midnight and six.  So cool.  The sad part is that the bus that takes me there stops running at eleven, so no 50% off for me.  I might just wait until I am absolutely out of clothes to go though.  Lazy.

I need to start doing more stuff.  I'm learning PhotoShop! (for like the fifth time.) Yesterday I put Audrey Tautou in a Rubik's cube.

I really need to get that damn program. And a life.

I am going to go check my p.o. box later.  Maybe I got a surprise in or something.. hmm...
I'm trying to remember movie names now.  Not the titles.  I have no problem remembering those.  I need to know directors (which I do, but I'm not great,)  producers, writers, actors, blah blah blah.  I am also going to try and overthrow the film club director here, mostly because I need them to start meeting on Fridays so that I can go to the meetings, and I feel like I would be a better director.  I'll let you know how that goes, if I ever make it to a meeting.  I guess they meet once a month, or once a week.  I have no idea, but they had a meeting yesterday, and I had a class, so I went into the classroom where they meet and left them a loverly message on the board.  It pretty much begged for the next meeting to be on a Friday.
Yeah, so... I'm gonna go drink tea now.  Come visit me, Jake, and Katherine, anyone else.  FREE ROOM HERE, GWASH!  Just don't drive.  Take the friggin' MegaBus or something, damn it.

okay, love y'all, bye.

Another Post, Another Nothing

I haven't been up to much.  I'm trying to get a second job just for fun.  We'll see how that goes.  I had a dream last night and Jake was in it. Nothing special though.  We were just walking around a house and a few people from work showed up.  Also, I'm really cool because I heard about/saw Exit Through the Gift Shop before Jake.  Ha!  He is still better at remembering names though.
I saw Lord of the Rings the other day, too.  It wasn't my first time, but I'm gonna say it was, because I didn't remember anything from when I saw it in.. I want to say 7th grade.  I'm talking about the fellowship of the ring btw.  I have The Two Towers sitting next to my computer.  I'll watch it eventually.
I still hate school, and the idea of school. Ugh.  Art school is an oxymoron.  I need to find more places to go and socialize.  I've been browsing CraigsList a lot lately and all.  Yeah.  Not much to say oOH!!   I live on Cermak Rd, and apparently there is a Panchero's on Cermak!  It's a 13 mile straight line, East!  I could walk there (it would take three hours,) or ride my nonexistent bike.  It's the only Panchero's in the Chicago area, and it's on my street.  This is a blessing.
I'm gonna let you go now.  Bye!

My feelings in words

Yeah, that's the best title I could come up with.  Let's divide this post into two.  No, three.

One, this is why I'm happy:
I finally have internet at home.  Yay!  It's been a month, but I made it.  This means I no longer have to go to stupid coffee shops that aren't Starbucks (you know how hard it is to find one of those?!)  and I don't have to spend money on drinks and yummy pastries.  This has two good sides because, I won't gain weight (I cannot resist baked goodies or chocolate, let alone baked chocolate goodies,) and I will save money.  I am also happy because I am not surrounded by drunk college students all the time.  Yeah.  Oh, and I have a mattress now, and I like it.  Speaking of the mattress though,

This is why I'm unhappy:

That Macy's store kinda ripped me off.  So I payed $494.73 for that comfy piece of sponge (it is pretty comfy and I love it. And actually my mommy gave me $200) But apparently the transaction didn't go through until yestrday, so... Guess who is shit broke now?!  Me!  Yeah.  Well, I have $6.00 in the bank.  Rent is due in ten days, but luckily I set that money aside a while ago, so no worries there.  I also payed my bills already, so hooray for that.  And I still have that $1,300 check from FAFSA, but that's for school expenses.  So I'm broke, but not really, but yeah really.  I'm mostly pissed at Wells Fargo and Macy's though, for lying about payments going through and shit.  So I'm going to switch banks and all, something I've been meaning to do for a long time.

yeah, that was my mini rant.  Nothing big.  I'm reading "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."  Good book, good book.  I've been trying to find places to go socialize.  People suggested that I start smoking, and my first though was, "You know Jake?!"  Hahaha.  So I found this place that has felafel.  I might go there some day.  Yeah, so now that I have internet I can go back to wasting my life even more.  I haven't met any interesting people lately.  Okay, I'm gonna go now.  Oh!  I will also start blogging a lot more, obviously.  Yeah.  See y'all later.

Not Much

So my internet was supposed to be up and running yesterday, but knowing my tech luck, of course it isn't.
I'm at Caribou Coffee right now, and I can't help but think of Joel Carver. (he always drank it during first period psych, and I sat right behind him.)
I just realized that I'm blogging in a coffee shop..  I fail.
So nothing has happened.  Still sleeping on the floor.  My mattress is supposed to be delivered on Wednesday the 19th.  I moved out on the 18th.  That's a month on the floor!  This one is going on the memoir.  I went to a fancy clothing store today because Michael's parents came to visit.  His coat pocket ripped, and I don't know why they made everything so complicated.  If that would have happened to me I would have tried to fix it myself, or befriend a fashion student and have them do it.  The obvious to them was to go to a store and find a tailor that would fix it, and then I saw the fur coats.  They were on sale!  As low as $10,000!  I am not kidding.  I tried taking a picture of a price tag, but it didn't turn out.  There was this lady in a fancy suit too, just walking around them.  She had handcuffs on her.  THE FUR COATS HAD THEIR OWN SECURITY GUARD!  The more expensive ones were chained to the racks.  For some reason I find the whole situation very amusing.  One of them was on sale, originally $25,000 marked down to $12,000!  Oh my lawd.

Not much is new.  New classes are nice.  I went to Soup Box today for the second time again today.  It was delicious.

Okay, I'm gonna go now.  I should have working internet some day soon.
Text me MORE!

And Jake, did Megan talk to you during your psych class?  Dare I say,  xD!!! (Caribou)

You Are Welcome, guys.

So I haven't blogged in  a while.
My number one excuse is the fact that I don't, I repeat, I DO NOT, have internet at home.  With that said, I have to leave the house, take a train, and buy a food item in order to be able to connect.  SO LEAVE ME ALONE!

Oh and Jake:  I have made friends, thanks.

There are a few things I need to cover here.

One:  I went to Iowa City for Christmas.  Did I talk about that already?  If not, here it is again.  I got a bathroom rug as a gift, and other stuff.  Some clothes, movies, books, an LED flashlight pen.. (my dad's a weirdo,) and other nice things.  I also gained like five pounds, but we all do.  The apartment is nice, thank you.  I am still sleeping on the floor, but not for long.  I am getting a mattress hopefully soon.  Going to Macy's here in a second (there's a sale going on!)

Now on to New Year's.  I had nothing to do that night.  I had to work until 9:30, and none of my coworkers would buy me champagne.  I asked everyone, even my manager!  He said that if I made more money than him that day, he would buy me a bottle.  Now, I didn't make more than him, but I came pretty close.  After work I went home, and did nothing.  Maybe I ate some food, but I don't remember.  Then I just texted tons of people, asking if any of them were in the same boring situation as me.  After talking to half of my contacts of RECENTLY MADE FRIENDS IN CHICAGO,  (Jake,) I finally agreed to meet my friend James, who is a girl, and her boyfriend somewhere up north by the Western Blue Line stop.  I dragged Michael (my roommate)  along with me, and he was freaking out because we were going to see a girl named James.  Seriously, his closed-mindness gets on my nerves sometimes, but not really.  Anyway we were walking around and then we heard the fireworks firing and working I guess.  It was the new year, and I was walking around trying to find this restaurant, Hot Chocolate (which is actually supposed to be pretty fancy.)  And there was James and Colin (that's her boyfriend.  He's nice.)  So then Colin drove us to his and James' apartment.  It was the coolest apartment ever!  It was long, and the walls were weird colors.  Lots of posters and books, and candles, and teapots, and hookahs, and more books, and more teapots, and artwork, and pet rats, and oh god so many books and teapots.  (I seriously tried to count the teapots, but I lost count after 12.) We stayed there until 3 am, and we drank some thing, I don't know what it was.  So me and Michael had to go back home, and there were so many obnoxious drunk people on the train.  This one girl was even drinking out of a bottle of wine, the cork knocked in the bottle.  It was a fun night.  James is pretty cool, and Colin is really nice.  He can talk, too.  Like, he's a good speaker.

So those have been the highlights, really.  School starts on Monday.  I'm not buying any books, screw that. I'll borrow, or read online.  I already spent like 20 dollars on books the other day anyway (Borders on Michigan avenue was closing.  Got 30 books for .25 a piece.  Good ones, too.)

Katherine and I are going to be roommates, and even if it sounds stupid and inconvenient, it should be fun.  We will combine our movies to crush Jake's collection, which brings me to part two of this post.  I am going to list all the movies I have.

Now on to the books… Ugh.  I don't want to list them all, but there are lots of 'em.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys - Oh!

I forgot to talk about the cake that I baked for my manager.. My other manager.  So I baked her a cake, and took it over to her house.  She has two cats, and one of them is a cyclops!  Then I hung out there for a bit, and then we started talking about movies, and then we ended up talking about screenplays, and it turns out that she had written one in college!  She let me borrow the one and only copy.  I read it, and it's not bad.  I'mma help her revise it.

Okay, that's it for now.  Bye y'all.

PS:  I'm getting internet on the 14th.  And AT&T  better not be lying.
