So I have been eating a lot lately. Yea. No "unhealthy" food though.
I went to an absinthe party at James' (the girl) house. It was fun. Other people were there. This girl I know, Ashley, and her roommate Cody. They got high in the hookah room (James has a hookah room) and then we had the fancy absinthe ritual. First they pour a shot in the glass and dunk two sugar cubes in it. Then they take the absinthe spoon and place the sugar cubes on it. Then they light the sugar cubes on fire, and it looks really cool. They let the sugar burn for a couple seconds, and finally they pour water over it. It was interesting. I had one with tea instead of water. In the end I had five shots, and a shot of infused vodka. The funny thing is that I didn't really feel anything, like, I wasn't drunk. I was expecting the absinthe to gimme ideas, but nothing happened, and so I thought: What if I have a strong resistance to alcohol? Meh. I forgot to mention that the absinthe was 75 proof too. I ended up going home at about 3 am, and I wasn't feeling anything, except for my tiredness. My friend Mitch was with me. There were more nice people at the party. It was all fun.
I got two free tickets to the premiere of "cherry" at the Mid West Film Festival! That's tonight, and I hope that nothing gets cancelled because of the 'snow storm'
There is nothing else to say, except that I look forward to getting visits from people.
I am trying to get more involved in the "art scene" whatever that is.
Also, I got into an argument with Michael (my roommate) about teachers and stuff. I was telling him that I didn't like the way our film teacher taught Final Cut, and he freaked out on me. He said that "wow, I mean, you certainly know more than a professor who works in the industry." And in my head I was like, "bitch please, if our professors had succeeded in the so called 'industry' they wouldn't be professors right now." But I didn't say that out loud. I don't remember what I said. My point was that it didn't matter how I learned to use Final Cut differently, because in the end I am still getting the job done.
There is nothing much going on. Trying to meet people and go places.
Yeah. Make plans to visit Chicago Today!
